UEFA Invested 12.1 Million Euros In Sustainable Development Projects

The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) announced investment investments in the amount of 12.1 million euros in sustainable development projects in the 2023-2024 season.

In particular, the report refers to the achievement of progress for seven priority purposes, such as: the fight against racism, the protection of children and youth, equality and participation, football for all, health and well -being, support of refugees, solidarity and law.

The report recalls that about 16 percent of the world’s population are people with disabilities, and there is also the importance of widespread access to football. UEFA considers this as the main priority for the development of European football, the report says.

It is noted that during the year various guidelines were designed to turn awareness into actions, and 55 National UEFA member federations became much stronger due to the presence of a stable development manager and the corresponding strategy.

President of UEFA Aleksander Cheferin noted that the report reflects the constant commitment of UEFA projects in the field of sustainable development.

“Sustainable development is not just the goal of UEFA, it is the responsibility that we accept with all our hearts. With the support of our partners and the European football family, we are determined to make the game that we love left a positive heritage for future generations” – he said.
