Ugur Shahin, the founder of Biontech and the creator of the vaccine against the coronavirus company Pfizer, stated that according to the information received by the pharmaceutical company from Israel, the vaccine he developed is effective against the British version of 97 percent. Shahin added that the company checked the effectiveness of the vaccine against the Brazilian version and is currently investigating its effectiveness against the Indian strain. According to him, the vaccine will be effective and against the latter too.
In addition, Ugur Shahin remained satisfied with the vaccination conducted in Israel. “It’s wonderful as Israel conducted a vaccination, the organization was just perfect,” said Shahin in Germany in a conversation with foreign journalists.
According to him, in recent weeks, he holds meetings where information obtained from Israel is studied, which allows you to calculate how many human lives is saved thanks to the vaccine over the past four months.
As for the introduction of the third dose of vaccine, Dr. Shahin said that the tests carried out by the company show that the level of antibodies is reduced in 8-9 months after the introduction of the second dose of the vaccine. He added that the company is still exploring the issue of vaccination of small children and pregnant women.
