Ukraine agreed with Turkey on liquefied gas supplies

Ukraine and Turkey agreed to supply liquefied gas, the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Energy on Friday, June 25th.

According to Deputy Minister of Energy on European Integration of Yaroslav Demchenkov, the parties have already agreed to promote the cooperation of the energy sector companies on diversifying gas supplies to Ukraine, which includes the development of the infrastructure of LNG terminals, write Ukrainian media.

Also countries agreed to cooperate on gas transportation through the transbalkan pipeline between Ukraine and Turkey.

“At the moment we are not an active player in the LNG market, however, the geopolitical situation and a decrease in transit volumes forcing new areas of trade and cooperation to ensure the workload of your own gas transmission system. That is why cooperation with the Turkish Republic in the context of the supply of LNG is a priority. For us, “Demchenkov said.
