Ukraine And Greece Signed An Agreement On Security Cooperation

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and Greece Prime Minister Kiriacosik abouthsties in Brussels signed an agreement on security cooperation. On Thursday, October 17, the press service of the head of the Ukrainian state reports.

“From the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, Greece provides military assistance to Ukraine, in particular, material and technical and educational. With this agreement, the Greek Republic consolidates the willingness to ensure the most pressing defense needs of Ukraine and further,- follows from the message.

Together with partners, Greece will provide additional resources to accelerate the preparation of Ukrainian pilots and technical personnel for F-16 aircraft, the press service explained.

In addition, we are talking about economic partnership, cooperation in the field of security, support of sanctions against the Russian Federation, bringing the “aggressor state” to justice and compensation for losses, as well as interaction in the field of culture, education and art, the text of the message said.

In accordance with the agreement, Greece undertakes to participate in the restoration and reconstruction of Ukraine, supports the future membership in the EU and NATO and the formula of the world.

In general, Ukraine has already concluded 27 bilateral agreements: with Great Britain, Germany, France, Denmark, Canada, Italy, Netherlands, Finland, Latvia, Spain, Belgium, Portugal, Sweden, Iceland, Norway, Japan, USA, EU, Estonia , Lithuania, Poland, Luxembourg, Romania, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, Ireland and Greece, added in the press service of the Ukrainian president.

Vladimir Zelensky thanked Greece for all the help, for all opportunities to protect Ukraine and its population. “Greece is ready to provide the most pressing defense needs of our state in the future. It will provide additional resources to accelerate the preparation of our pilots and technical personnel for F-16 aircraft,” Zelensky wrote in his telegram channel on Thursday.
