Ukraine Celebrates Day Of State Emblem

On Wednesday, February 19, Ukraine celebrates the Day of the State Emblem – one of the key symbols of the country’s sovereignty.

The date is dedicated to the decision of the Verkhovna Rada, adopted in 1992, on the approval of a small state coat of arms – a golden trident on a blue shield.

The trident, which is rooted in the era of Kievan Rus, symbolizes the continuity of Ukrainian statehood and national unity.

He is an integral part of a large state coat of arms, the final version of which has not yet been approved.

On this day, the leadership of the country, public figures and citizens are honored by the centuries -old heritage of Ukraine, emphasizing its significance for the present.
