The Ukrainian office of Interpol refused to announce the Russian ambassador to Cape Verde Natalia Poklonskaya to the international wanted list due to the fact that this contradicts the organization’s charter, RBC reports.
“Russian Ambassador to Cape Verde Natalya Poklonskaya will not be announced to the international wanted list, since the Ukrainian office of Interpol considered this request illegal,” said the Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine.
The agency noted that such a decision was made on the basis of Article 3 of the Interpol Charter, which prohibits the persecution of political, military, religious or racial reasons.
We note that several criminal cases were instituted against the former prosecutor of Crimea Natalia Poklonskaya in Ukraine, including on the charges of the Gosimin.
