Ukraine needs to receive an action plan for NATO membership to understand what the quality of the North Atlantic Alliance seems to see it in the ten-year-up perspective. Such a requirement in an interview with “Ukrinform” expressed the Deputy Prime Minister Olga Stefanishin.
She emphasized that the degree of interaction of Kiev with the Alliance and the level of internal transformations are not comparable since 2008. And since now NATO countries “form a new vision until 2030,” Kiev wants to understand what place he is given in the plans of partners in the next ten years.
“Therefore, it is important to answer about the receipt of the Membership Action Plan,” she stressed, reminding that the action plan is not yet membership, but only a political decision that will provoke mobilization of efforts within the state for further reforms and integration into the Euro-Atlantic Community .
Commenting on this topic, Stefanishine admitted in the hopes of Kiev, that the “Ukrainian question” will be remembered at the nearest meeting of NATO leaders. It is expected to support the Ukrainian side.
