Ruslan Stefanchuk, who had previously served as the first vice-speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, was elected chairman of the Ukrainian parliament, reports TASS.
Such a decision at a meeting of Rada on Friday was supported by 261 deputies. His candidacy was previously offered by the faction of the ruling party “servant of the people.” The members of the fraction gave 222 votes for Stefanchuk, the rest of the votes were dialed at the expense of other deputies.
Recall that yesterday the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted for his feedback Dmitry Razumkov from the post of Parliament Speaker.
