the European Commission (EC) made Ukraine 3 billion euros – the first tranche of macro -financial assistance with a total volume of 18 billion euros for 2023, the press release of the EC
says
Subsequent payments will be made monthly from March in the amount of 1.5 billion euros at a time.
The EC noted that with the help of these funds, Ukraine will be able to continue paying salaries, pensions, support the functioning of basic public institutions, including hospitals, schools and housing for immigrants.
In addition, the EU assistance should allow Ukraine to restore infrastructure and maintain macroeconomic stability.
