The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted a resolution in which she declared the Chechen Republic of Ichkeria the territory “temporarily occupied by the Russian Federation”, and also condemned the “committing the genocide of the Chechen people.” 287 deputies voted for the adoption of the document, Ukrainian media write.
At the same time, the draft resolution on the recognition of the independence of Ichkeria, which was introduced in July by Alexei Goncharenko and Musa Magomedov, have not yet been considered in the Ukrainian parliament.
