Ukraine: snipers carry combat duty day and night

Ukrainian snipers-specialists located on the front line or near the front line in Ukraine carry combat duty day and night.

Snipers are active in field work in the conditions of the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war. They carry round -the -clock duty, masking on the front line and in the areas close to it, in settlements, forests or in open areas.

The ANADOLOL agency team, which is watching in the conflict zones in Ukraine, took off the video training of combat readiness in one of the Ukrainian sniper units on the southern front of the country.

fighters of the sniper unit of the 108th brigade of territorial defense of the Ukrainian army are trained in disguise, handling weapons and shooting.

As the AA instructor told the AA correspondent, who bears the code name “Chechen”, despite the tight schedule of work, the snipers on the front line are constantly undergoing combat training.

“I train not only in this unit, I do this in any region, in any unit that needs a sniper,” said the instructor.

“The sniper must remain invisible to everyone,” he explains, noting that, although the sniper carries combat duty, he must constantly undergo various training. According to him, sometimes they carry combat duty every second day, sometimes almost every day.

“We have no weekends and holidays,” he will say that each sniper should train at least three times a week in shooting and undergo at least twice a week to undergo masked training.

According to Chechen, he served as a sniper in the army until 2022, but because of health problems, he continues to work as an instructor. He also said that sniper units in the Ukrainian army use both domestic and modern foreign weapons.

Sniper says that each unit of the army has its own task in the war: “Snipers have always been considered an elite part of the army. These are those units that use the best weapons and can most accurately hit the goals.”
