Ukraine’s GDP can be reduced by half

“Ukraine’s GDP can be reduced by 30-50% due to hostilities in the country.” This was stated by the Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergey Marchenko in an interview with the National Public Teleradio Company.

“World Bank’s assessments, the Ministry of Economy and our coincide: from 30 to 50% of GDP may be lost,” said Marchenko, adding that to give final forecasts early.

“The situation depends on the movement of hostilities and the impact of the conflict on the economic life of Ukraine,” he said.
