The Ukrainian army received a batch of weapons from Turkey in the summer, in particular the TRLG-230 and Sungur IIR missiles, Oryx analysts (the Netherlan site engaged in the analysis of defense intelligence and a research group in the field of warfare), which monitor weapons in the Armed Forces from partners.
According to analysts, Turkey in the summer transferred to Ukraine a batch of TLRG-230 and Sungur IIR missiles, NEB ground equipment and equipment for Bayraktar TB2 drones. However, it is not known whether Ukraine bought it or received it for free as help.
TLRG-230 missiles is the development of ROKETSAN type “Earth-Earth”. Its flight range is 70 km, the guidance system works on a laser beam. To guide missiles, use a drone or a ground lighting station.
Sungur IIR missiles – ammunition for Ukrainian drones of Bayraktar TB2. IIR – a technology that makes the weapon more accurate. In the future, they are planned to integrate them into Akinci drones.
