US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink said that the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will independently decide on the range of strikes from Himars installations, which the American authorities plan to transfer in the near future. “The US government yesterday signed an act on providing a package of Ukraine’s armed assistance for $ 700 million. This package also includes Himars artillery installations. First of all, their provision should help Ukraine achieve more accuracy in defeat of hostile goals, but also get artillery Armament with a greater range than it is (in the Armed Forces of Ukraine – Ed.) Now. The issue of the distance of the blows will be decided by the Armed Forces of Ukraine independently, ”said the diplomat.
According to her, the US Presidential Administration Joe Biden will further form and send the following armed assistance packages to Ukraine at the expense of the funds provided for by law for Ukraine’s assistance for 40 billion.
The number and types of weapons in these packages will be specified during consultations between the American authorities and the Ukrainian military-political leadership, taking into account the course of hostilities. The United States is interested in providing the Armed Forces of Ukraine that types of weapons that are extremely needed on the front line.
Brink said that she is very glad to head the US diplomats in Ukraine. According to her, she would not prefer to work in another place on the planet now, because the fate of Europe is being decided in Ukraine, and therefore she wants to help Ukraine defend independence.
The American ambassador emphasized that the US government will provide Ukraine with the necessary assistance and support until the victory of Ukraine in the war with Russia.
