Antonov’s cargo aircraft, belonging to the Ukrainian airline, crashed near the city of Caval in the north of Greece on Saturday late in the evening, reported by the Associated Press with reference to local authorities.
According to them, the plane made a flight from Serbia to Jordan. They do not have information about whether there was any load on board the aircraft, as well as the number of crews.
Shortly before the accident, the pilot announced the problems with one of the engines, he was allowed to land at the Kavala airport, but the plane broke up about 40 km from the airfield, the Greece Civil Aviation Department said.
