Due to the new Russian attacks on Ukrainian energy infrastructure, electricity saving measures will be tightened in the country. This was reported by the Administration of the President of Ukraine, writes BBC.
“Equipment in the central regions has been damaged. In order to prevent the complete de -energization of the central region, energy are forced to introduce more stringent restrictions,” said Kirill Tymoshenko, deputy head of the presidential office.
For this reason, there will be additional restrictions on electricity consumption in Kyiv, Kyiv region, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr regions.
The power supplier of Yasno said that due to the serious destruction of the energy infrastructure of the Kyiv region after Russian strikes on the night of October 27, the capacity deficit in the capital could be 30% of the usual number.
The shutdown of light in Kyiv will be longer and will affect more consumers.
“It is necessary to prepare for emergency shutdown of electricity for an indefinite period,” warned the head of the Kyiv regional military administration Alexei Kuleb.
