On the night of January 8, in the occupied Russian Federation, Melitopol was hit by the enterprise that the Russian army turned into a military base. Details were published in Telegram by the mayor of Melitopol Ivan Fedorov.
The first explosions in Melitopol sounded after one in the morning. Residents of the city heard explosions for several hours. It turned out that the blow was inflicted at the local Hydromash plant, which the Russians turned into a military base. Presumably there were shells of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, since detonation lasted several hours after the attack.
According to the Russians, the blow was dealt by Himars reactive systems. Armed Forces of Ukraine has not yet been commented on the information.
