The permanent representative of the World Bank in Turkey Umberto Lopez said that the financial policy of the Central Bank of Turkey is in the right direction.
“We believe that the tightening of the monetary policy pursued by the Central Bank of Turkey and the measures taken by the Ministry of Finance and the Treasury to reduce the budget deficit are steps in the right direction,” Lopez noted.
According to him, in the coming years, the World Bank will submit to Turkey new voluminous offers.
“In addition to our current program, $ 17 billion, we expect to prepare and submit to the board of directors of the World Bank new offers for 18 billion dollars for three years,” said the permanent representative of the World Bank in Turkey Umberto Lopes .
