The Office of the UN Supreme Commissioner for Refugees (UN UN) reported that after the overthrow of the Bashar Assad regime, more than 115 thousand Syrians who were in neighboring countries returned to their homeland.
The UN UN statement on the return of Syrian refugees says that from December 8, 2024, more than 115 thousand people returned to Syria from countries such as Turkey, Jordan and Lebanon.
The number of returning Syrians is based on data provided by hosting countries, information from migration services in Syria, as well as observations conducted by UN UNC and its partners on the borders.
