UN employees in Ukraine are extremely concerned about the state population after almost a week of night air strikes and attacks, as a result of which dozens of people were killed and injured.
This was announced by the Deputy Spokesman of the UN Farhan Khak during a daily briefing in New York, the press service of the organization.
According to him, the most important infrastructure was also destroyed, which exacerbates the already difficult humanitarian situation in the country.
Acting Coordinator of the UN humanitarian aid in Ukraine Matthew Hollingworth expressed an alarm on his Twitter page about numerous victims in Kherson, where the railway station and supermarket were struck in the most lively evening hours.
According to reports, in the east of the country, in a city located near the front line in the Donetsk region, a power plant was damaged. According to the Government of Ukraine, as a result of this blow, about one hundred thousand people were left without light, hospitals and schools are also de -energized.
Farchan Khak also announced the humanitarian crisis in the vicinity of the city of Maryinka in the Donetsk region, where, according to humanitarian organizations in the field, about five thousand civilians have been living in fierce military operations.
