UN calculations: almost 5,600 civilians of Ukraine died in war

According to the latest summary of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, 5,587 peaceful citizens were killed in Ukraine from the beginning of a large war, including 362 children, 7890 civilians, including 610 children, were injured.

In the territories captured by Russia, the UN counted 302 killed and 1,173 wounded civilians.

Civilians die mainly under artillery and missile shelling and air raids, the UN states.

In every summary of the UN, it reminds that the real number of dead civilians can be much larger: there are still no exact data from places such as Mariupol, Raisins, Lisichansk, Severodonetsk, Popasnaya, where thousands of civilians have expectedly died.
