UN Condemned “monstrous” Terrorist Attack In Syrian Munbich

According to Duzharrick, as a result of the attack, 20 people were killed, mainly women. Another 13 women and 5 children were injured, some are in critical condition.

Duzharrik noted that on the eve of another attack, 4 civilians were killed. “We decisively condemn this monstrous act. All parties are obliged to comply with the norms of international humanitarian law and protect the civilian population and civil infrastructure,” said the representative of the UN Secretary General.

Duzharrick emphasized that at present the UN has no information about the involved in the attack. “There can be no excuse for such actions,” the representative of the organization added. He clarified that humanitarian organizations continue to assist the victims.

December 9, 2024, the forces of the Syrian National Army as part of the Operation “Zarya Freedom” liberated Münbich from terrorists. Since then, 7 terrorist attacks occurred in the city, whose victims were 28 civilians, including women and children, another 45 people were injured.

Earlier, the inhabitants of Münbich have repeatedly protested against the activities of the YPG terrorist organization (PKK Syrian branch), accusing the criminal organization of forced tax collection, price rising and malfunctions of the basic services.
