UN: Flooding To Bangladesh Affected Millions Of People In 11 Regions

Spindler, a spokeswoman for the UN Supreme Commissioner (UN UN), William Spindler said the flood to Bangladesh affected millions of people in 11 regions.

Spindler assessed the situation in Bangladesh affected by floods at the weekly press conference of the United Nations (UN) department in Geneva.

“Catastrophic floods to Bangladesh affected millions of people in 11 regions of the country,” he said, adding that the Cox-Bazar region, where about 1 million Muslim-Rokhini lives, also suffered from this disaster.

The spokeswoman noted that the strong rains, which came for the Musson season, caused sudden floods and landslides in the refugee camps where Muslims Rochinya live.

He stated that UN UN UNKB mobilizing its forces to satisfy the most pressing needs of local communities in the region, such as housing and healthcare, and emphasized that they are in solidarity with the local authorities.

The Bangladesh Ministry of Elimination of the consequences of natural disasters reported that 67 people were killed as a result of recent floods.
