UN: In 3 Weeks, More Than 50 Thousand People Returned To Syria From Neighboring Countries

The Supreme Commissioner of the United Nations (UN) for refugees Filippo Grandi said that the number of refugees who returned to Syria from neighboring countries exceeded 50 thousand people.

Grandi wrote on the social network X about the return of the Syrian refugees to his country after the overthrow of the regime of Bashar Assad.

He noted that the number of Syrian refugees returning to their homeland from neighboring countries is gradually growing. According to him, over the past 3 weeks, more than 50 thousand people have returned to Syria.

Grandi stated that living conditions in Syria remain terrible, it is necessary to deliver more humanitarian assistance to the returners and all those in need.
