UN is trying to extend grain transaction

The UN is working on the expansion and extension of a grain transaction, within which grain is exported from Ukraine. This was stated by the representative of the UN Secretary General Stefan Duzharrik, writes Reuters.

He confirmed that the new agreements have not yet been reached. They want to extend the deal for a year, as the current ends in November 2022.

Stefan Duzharrick added that the organization is working on simplifying the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. To discuss this issue, the Deputy Secretary General of the UN for humanitarian issues, Martin Griffiths and the Secretary General of the UN Conference for Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebeck Green Span will come to Moscow a week later.
