UN Members Warned About Growth Of Violence In Myanmar

UN members warned about the growth of violence in Myanmar, saying that the regime uses displaced persons, including Arakan Muslims, as a living shield.

Deputy Permanent Representative of the United States to the UN Robert Wood made a statement on behalf of the organization’s members, including Turkey.

He noted that the number of people in need of humanitarian aid in Myanmar after the coup increased from 1 million to 18.6 million

Wood expressed concern about the growth of violence in this country.

He emphasized that they have at their disposal there are reliable reports on violations of international human law in this country.

Wood also noted the aggravation of the humanitarian crisis in Myanmar.
