UN Reported Death Of 13 Migrants When Flooding Boat Off Coast Of Yemen

A boat with illegal migrants turned over the coast of the city of Tazi in Yemen, 13 people were killed, another 14 are listed in the lists of missing.

This was reported on the page of the UN International Organization for Migration (MOM) on the social network x.

The tragedy occurred on August 20, the ship followed in Djibuti, there were 25 immigrants from Ethiopia on board and two from Yemen.

“Among the dead 11 men and 2 women. The bodies of the dead were discovered on the shore of Bab-El-Mandeb near al-Shura in the Dubab region,” the website said in the MOM website.

Deputy Head of the MIM mission in Yemen Matt Hube emphasized that the last tragedy is a vivid reminder of the dangers that migrants face on this route.

“We cannot normalize these destructive losses. Instead, it is extremely important to make collective efforts to ensure the protection and support of migrants throughout their journey,” Hubert said, emphasizing the determination of MOM and then make efforts to prevent such incidents and protection of vulnerable migrants.
