UN Secretary General António Guterres, in the context of the detention of ex-Bolivian President Jeanine Agnes, pointed to the need for transparent legal proceedings. This is reported by TASS.
“Due to the latest legal action against former government officials and authorities in Bolivia, the Secretary General recalls the need to preserve guarantees of due process and full transparency of all legal proceedings,” the statement said.
Earlier, former Bolivian President Jeanine Agnes was arrested on charges of terrorism, treason and conspiracy.
