New and protracted conflicts create a wave effect in the global economy. This was stated by UN Secretary General Antoniu Guterres, speaking at the program of the forum of leaders held on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the creation of the UN Conference in Trade and Development (Junctad) in Geneva.

According to him, the Junctad has become a powerful power of changes at the global level that forms ideas, affects international negotiations and promotes the principle of multilaterality.

GUERRISH noted that the clarity and determination of the Junctad is important today than ever.

“The geopolitical tension and inequality are growing, the climatic crisis has greatly hit many developing countries. New and protracted conflicts create a wave effect on the world economy,” said the UN Secretary General.

The International Trade System is faced with many difficulties and is on the verge of disintegration, ”he believes.
