UN Security Council will hold an open meeting to discuss the escalation of tensions in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict zone on Sunday, May 16. This was reported on Thursday Permanent Representative of the United States under the United Nations Linda Thomas Greenfield.
The UN Security Council will meet to discuss the situation in Israel and the Gaza Sector on Sunday, “she wrote on Twitter.
As it became known to the TASS, the meeting will be held in the open format and starts at 10:00.
Initially, China, Tunisia and Norway offered to hold an open meeting of the UN Security Council on this issue on May 14, however, this date did not suit the United States, which due to the workload in the settlement of this conflict were offered on May 18, as a result, a compromise option was found.
