UN warns: in Afghanistan, children will die from hunger

Millions of Afghans, including children, can die from hunger, if urgent measures will not be taken to bring Afghanistan from a difficult situation, said in an interview with Reuters Executive Director of the United Nations on GDP David Bizley.

According to him, the country is on the verge of economic and food collapse.

“22.8 million people – more than half of the population of Afghanistan – collided with an acute problem of lack of food and” march on hungry death. “The children will die. People will be hungry. Everything will become much worse than before,” said Bizley.

Note that the food crisis in Afghanistan, exacerbated by climate change, began before capturing the Taliban authorities in this country. Due to blocking access to assets, the situation in the country worsens every day.
