Unemployment Rate In Turkey In February Decreased To 8.2%

The unemployment rate in Turkey in February decreased by 0.2 percentage points compared to the previous month and amounted to 8.2 percent. Such data on Thursday, March 27, is given by the Institute of Statistics of Turkey (Tüi̇k).

Accordingly, the number of unemployed in Turkey at the age of 15 and older in February decreased by 95 thousand people compared to the previous month and amounted to 2 million 886 thousand people.

Thus, the unemployment rate in February was recorded as the lowest in the last 151 months.

This month, the unemployment rate among youth at the age of 15-24 was 15 percent, which is 0.1 percentage points larger than the previous month. In this age group, the unemployment rate among men was 10.8 percent, and among women – 22.7 percent.
