The Government of Great Britain apologized to the Israeli Minister of Carin Elharrar, who could not get to the climate summit in Glasgow due to the lack of infrastructure for movement in the wheelchair, reports BBC.
According to the Minister of Environment of Great Britain George Justice, the incident causes “deep regret”, and the government officially brought apologies to Mrs. Elharrar, who has muscle dystrophy. Nevertheless, he accused the Israeli authorities, which “did not warn them.”
Earlier, the Israeli Infrastructure Minister stated that he could not get to the conference, because the only option was “either to walk, or sit on the shuttle bass, which was also not suitable for a wheelchair.” As a result, she had to wait near the venue of the conference two hours before returning to the hotel.
