Unfortunately, the OSCE Meeting on Human Measurement in 2021 did not take place due to the decision of the Russian government to block this meeting. We are deeply sorry in connection with this attempt by the Russian authorities to block control over the worsening position in the field of human rights, “said Blinken.
He noted that States expect that the OSCE and the participating countries will begin to conduct planned meetings, the topics of which are devoted to human rights.
Blinken stressed that the United States will continue to do everything necessary to draw attention to human rights issues in the OSCE region.
