United States advised its citizens to abandon travel to Russia

US State Department warned Americans from traveling to Russia. Refuse to travel to Russia is recommended due to possible persecution, terrorism, COVID-19, limited opportunities for the embassy to assist US citizens and arbitrary use of local legislation. This is reported by the Russian version of Forbes magazine.

Separately, the North Caucasus, including Chechnya and the districts around Elbrus, and Crimea, are allocated in the recommendations of travelers in Russia.

The State Department also notes that Americans advise to avoid any political or social protests. Centers for the control and prevention of diseases (CDC) do not recommend trips to Russia due to the high incidence of COVID-19 in the country, and if necessary, you need to get vaccinations from coronavirus.
