United States And Great Britain Discussed Efforts To Stop Russian-Ukrainian Conflict

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and British Foreign Minister David Lammy during a telephone conversation discussed recent events in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and efforts to achieve the world.

The US State Department statement says that Rubio and Lammy considered the issues of “searching for a sustainable solution to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and supporting the relevant efforts”.

The parties also discussed the meeting of US President Donald Trump and the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky in the Vatican and negotiations that took place on April 22 in London with the participation of representatives of the United States, France, Germany and Ukraine, the State Department noted.

In addition, Rubio thanked Lammy for the efforts of Great Britain, aimed at achieving a “sustainable world” in Ukraine, ”the statement emphasizes.

Zelensky on April 26 met Trump in front of the funeral of the spiritual leader of the Catholics and the head of state Vatican Pope Francis.

According to Zelensky, the meeting discussed the issues of achieving a ceasefire in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict and establishing a strong world that would prevent a repetition of the crisis.

“If we achieve joint results, this can become a very symbolic meeting that has historical potential,” Zelensky said.
