The US Department of Finance has again introduced secondary sanctions against almost 100 subjects of Russian financial, defense and energy sectors.
According to the department, in the framework of counteracting the scheme of evasion from the sanctions created between subjects in Russia and China, to simplify cross -border payments for sensitive goods, six organizations and one person from the Russian Federation and nine organizations from China are included in the sanctions list. restrictions also touched on the Bank of the financial institution, based in Kyrgyzstan, which was accused of coordinating with the Russian authorities and the US Bank, to implement the scheme of evasion of sanctions.
It was noted that about 100 organizations that were already under sanctions were re -included in the sanctions list on the basis of assistance to transactions in the financial, defense and energy sectors of the Russian Federation.
And the US State Department imposed sanctions against more than 150 organizations and persons, including various companies in the Russian defense industry and those who support the military-industrial base.
Today’s sanctions are extended to companies from many countries, especially China, which continue to maintain Russia’s efforts to travel US sanctions, the department noted.
US Deputy Minister of Finance Wally Adeimo said that the steps taken today “prevent Russian sanctions to circumvent it and do not allow it to access the goods necessary for the production of weapons. Adeimo noted that the expansion of secondary sanctions will limit Russia’s access to income and goods .
