“Iran on the last round of nuclear negotiations in Vienna tightened the position, departing from the previously proposed compromises and putting forward additional requirements.” This was stated by a high-ranking representative of the US Department of State, RIA Novosti reports.
According to him, Iran’s requirements went beyond the recovery of a nuclear transaction.
“The United States accuses Iran in provocative forcing the nuclear program and believe that in this way Tehran is trying to improve its position in the negotiations in Vienna,” said the Representative of the State Department.
American official also called Iran’s attempts to force the nuclear program “especially provocative”.
“I think that they believe that they can accumulate large stocks of enriched uranium and create more centrifuges, and thus achieve great concessions from us and give it less. Such a negotiating tactic will work,” he said.
The representative of the State Department warned that the continuation of the negotiations and the persistence of hopes for a diplomatic solution did not mean that the United States does not have the opportunity to strengthen the pressure on Iran, giving understanding the severity of the approach to a “nuclear transaction” with Tehran.
