United States Excluded Direct Participation Of Europe In Negotiations In Ukraine

Europe will not directly participate in peace negotiations on the end of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, but its interests will be taken into account. This was stated by a special representative of the United States in Ukraine and Russia Kit Kellogg.

Speaking at the 8th Ukrainian Lunch event within the framework of the 61st Munich Security Conference (MSC 2025), Kellogg noted that Washington seeks to avoid the difficulties associated with negotiations with the participation of a large number of the parties. >

According to him, one of the reasons for the failure of previous peaceful initiatives was the involvement of too many states to the process. “We will not follow this path,” he emphasized.

KELLOLG also stated that Europe will not be included in the negotiation process, but consultations with European countries will be held, and their interests are taken into account.

In addition, the US representative added that the plan of peaceful settlement can be formed “in the coming days or weeks.”
