The United States will continue to interact with the international community in order to repatriate members of the terrorist organization deash contained in camps on the territory of Syria.
This statement was made by the commander of the Central Command of the US Armed Forces (CentCom) General Michael Eric Kurill, who arrived on January 17 in Syria. This is stated in the message CentCom.
During the trip, he held meetings with the American military deployed in Syria.
Kurilla’s contacts with representatives of the PKK/YPG terrorist organization also took place, which is operating in Syria under the sign of the so -called Syrian democratic forces (SDS).
It is noted that the purpose of the visit is to “get an assessment of the ongoing campaign to defeat the deash and efforts to prevent the revival of this terrorist organization in the region, as well as a developing situation in Syria.”
The CENTCOM commander visited the camps in the northeast of Syria, where there are more than 40 thousand displaced persons allegedly related to DeAsh. In addition, he got acquainted with the controlled militants of the RSC/YPG places of detention, where there are more than 9 thousand detained militants from 50 countries.
