The United States will transfer to 800 servicemen from Italy to the Baltic countries, as well as up to eight F-35 aircraft from Germany to the NATO oriental flank. This was announced on Wednesday at a regular briefing for journalists, press secretary of the American defense department John Kirby, writes TASS.
According to him, President of the USA Joe Biden on Tuesday gave the Pentagon instructions to replicate part of the US forces in Europe. “They include the operational group of the infantry battalion of about 800 people, which will be transferred from Italy to the Baltic region,” said Kirby. He added that from Germany to the Eastern flag of NATO, eight F-35 aircraft and assault aviation division will be deployed in 20 AH-64 helicopters. The group of 12 helicopters AH-64 will be moved from Greece to Poland.
Pentagon said that in the United States at the moment they cannot say who is behind new cyber attacks on the websites of the state bodies of Ukraine.
