In New York, surgeons held a successful transplant operation to a man’s kidney to a gene-modified pig, writes New York Times newspaper.
It is noted that the kidney has transplanted a person who has been connected to the artificial respiration apparatus, the patient’s brain was dead, but the body after the transplant is functioning normally, and even began to produce urine and livelihood products.
Scientists already call the operation “Huge breakthrough and very large achievement.”
