The United States calls on all countries not to acquire weapons from Russia, while the decision on possible sanctions against India for the purchase of Russian S-400 systems has not yet been accepted. This was stated on Monday, the American Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on the results of bilateral negotiations in the format of “two plus two” between the heads of defense and foreign policy departments of the United States and India at a joint press conference in Washington, writes RIA Novosti.
“We continue to call all countries to avoid new major transactions on the acquisition of Russian weapons systems, especially in the light of the fact that Russia does in relation to Ukraine,” he said.
“We have not yet decided on potential sanctions or potential exceptions from sanctions,” added the head of American diplomacy, answering the question of potential sanctions against India due to the purchase of C-400.
