According to NBC News, the District Judge Washington Amir Ali announced his decision regarding at least nine humanitarian organizations injured from reducing assistance to USAID.
It is reported that the decree of the Trump administration was ordered to pay the “part” of debt to these institutions in the amount of about $ 2 billion by March 10, 2025.
In addition, it was stated that the amount of disputed payment will be determined on the basis of the statements of the plaintiffs.
Such assistance organizations such as the Global Health Council and the coalition in support of AIDS vaccine demand that they return almost $ 2 billion that they should have received before signing the decree on foreign assistance on January 20.

According to the document, all ministries and agencies responsible for international development programs must stop payments to foreign states, as well as conduct a 90-day verification of the compliance of these programs with US foreign policy interests.

The head of the Department of Efficiency of Public Administration (DOGE), Ilon Musk, said that the agency’s employees were “sent on administrative leave” because of the disagreement with the USAID management. The official accounts of the agency in social networks were also closed.
