US expenses for the operation and modernization of nuclear forces until 2034 can be up to $ 946 billion. This is stated in the report of the US Congress Department for Budget (SV), which is based on the planning of the budget of the Ministry of Defense (Pentagon) and the US Department of Energy.
The report predicts that if these budget plans are implemented, then by 2034 the United States will spend a total of $ 946 billion to maintain and modernize their nuclear arsenal.
The costs of the nuclear sphere from 2025 to 2034 will amount to about 95 billion dollars a year, and it is planned to spend $ 357 billion on maintaining the current nuclear arsenal until 2034, it follows from the report.
At the same time, $ 309 billion is planned to be spent on weapons systems, $ 79 billion on control systems, communications and early warning, $ 72 billion for laboratory equipment and $ 129 billion – possible additional expenses.
The US nuclear forces include atomic submarines with ballistic missiles, ground -based ballistic ballistic missiles, large and short -range bombers, as well as nuclear warheads.
