The number of losses of Russian troops in the war in Ukraine can reach 188 thousand people. Such data are given by the British tabloid The Sun, referring to sources in US intelligence.
According to media reports, the US military introduced so many to the allies during a meeting of the Contact Group on the Defense of Ukraine at the Ramstein air base in Germany. In addition, they counted about 2000 Russian tanks destroyed or captured by the Ukrainian army since the beginning of a full -scale invasion of the RF Armed Forces.
As notes The Sun, the figure significantly exceeds the official number of 100 thousand Russian military, killed, wounded and deserted from last February in Ukraine, which was announced at the end of 2022 by British Minister of Defense Ben Wallace. According to the calculations of the general of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the losses of Russia as of January 21 amounted to 120,160 personnel and 3140 tanks.
