The US Ministry of Justice opened a criminal case against three people in connection with the alleged conspiracy related to Iran’s plans to kill Donald Trump’s elected president.
According to the investigation, filed by the Manhattan Federal Court, the plan for the murder of a presidential candidate was disclosed through Iranian Farhad Shakeri, who had served the deadline for theft for theft. Shakeri spent 14 years in an American prison and was deported to Iran in 2008.
It is noted that in his statement to the members of the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), Shakeri said that an unnamed official from the Islamic Revolutionary Corps (KSIR) contacted him in October 2024 and instructed him to develop a plan for the murder of Trump.
According to Shakeri, the mentioned representative of Ksir asked him to spy on Trump and prepare a plan for his murder within 7 days.
Shakeri said that he contacted the USA, living in the United States, Carlisle Rivera and Jonaton Loadholt about the murder plan, but was not going to engage in its implementation in the established time.
Investigators of the Ministry of Justice said that River and Lawdholt were also detained in New York.
It is worth noting that the charges were announced a few days after Trump’s victory in the presidential election.
