US President Donald Trump said that the process regarding the peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine is moving, but the situation on this track still remains “very fragile.”
Trump recalled that his special beam Steve Whitkoff holds meetings with Russian President Vladimir Putin, and Washington makes every effort to stop the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“I think that everything is moving in Russia and Ukraine. We keep hope. But everything is very fragile,” Trump said.
He noted that the United States is going to try to get out of the war in order to save 5,000 people.
“And this will be a great honor for me if I can do this. There is no time for this. I just want to do it as quickly as possible,” Trump said.
Earlier, the head of the White House also questioned Ukraine’s entry into NATO.
In an interview with the American magazine, Time Trump said that Ukraine will ever join NATO, noting that this was one of the factors that led to the Russian-Ukrainian war.
“If this question did not stand on the agenda, then the chances of the fact that the war would not begin would be much better,” he said.
The US President also stated that Crimea will remain Russian as part of a peace agreement between the Russian Federation and Ukraine.
