Special envoy of the US President on Climate Climate John Kerry will visit China on July 16-19, the State Department said in a statement.
Kerry will hold meetings with Chinese officials.
The special support of the American leader is configured to interact with Beijing in overcoming the climatic crisis, the State Department said.
The department noted that the United States advocates that the parties take on additional obligations in the ecological sphere and strive for the successful holding of the 28th conference of the parties to the UN framework on climate change (COP28).
