US rejects Zakharova’s statements

The United States reject the Russian characteristics of the role of the West in the peaceful process between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

“Assisting the world in the South Caucasus remains an enduring priority for us,” said the deputy official representative of the State Department Vedante Patel, answering the question of the agency Turan.

Patel’s comments were a response to the statement of the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Maria Zakharova, in which she accused Washington and Brussels of trying to undermine trilateral agreements between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, as well as change the security system in the region.

According to Patel, assistance to the world in the South Caucasus “remains an enduring priority” for the Biden administration and, in particular, for the Secretary of State Blinken, “as evidenced by his direct contact and interaction directly with the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan.” “And this is what we will continue to focus on,” he said.

Washington is still firmly committed to interacting in all directions for promoting the world, whether on a bilateral basis, whether through mechanisms within the EU or through the OSCE, Patel said.
